 Bass player Richard Mander’s strong acoustic sound and rhythmic drive are perfect for the Red Hot Rhythmakers, reminiscent of New Orleans greats such as Pops Foster and Wellman Braud. Since the band’s formation, he has also demonstrated his mastery of the tuba, which he seemed to learn almost overnight in order to vary the Red Hot Rhythmakers sound. A lover of fine food, wine and music.
